A recently remodeled 4-bedroom chalet sitting directly on top of Beech Mountain Resort. Open the door and you are on the slope. 100-mile views from the living room, the bedrooms, the deck and the hot tub.
Three indoor fireplaces warm the chalet at every level. After a day on the mountain the choice is the hot tub, the fire pit on the deck, or the fireplace. The 5506' Skybar at the summit is a short walk, as are Beech Mountain Brewing and Fred's General Mercantile.
In summer the temperature rarely passes 80 degrees at this elevation; hike and bike from the door. In fall the color turns earlier and harder up here than anywhere below, and the deck faces it. Dogs are welcome, and the mountain is dog-friendly year round.
Winter access is real: the road is steep and four-wheel or all-wheel drive with chains is required when it snows.
